La revista CONfines de Ciencia Política y Relaciones Internacionales convoca a la comunidad académica al envío de artículos de investigación.

Los textos deberán ser inéditos y estar relacionados con las áreas disciplinarias que conforman la revista, a saber, las ciencias sociales en sentido amplio: ciencia política, relaciones internacionales, sociología, economía, antropología e historia.

Una vez enviado a CONfines, las o los autores se comprometen a no enviar el manuscrito a otras publicaciones, hasta no tener un fallo de parte de este Comité.

Se reciben trabajos escritos en español o inglés, con una extensión no mayor a 10 mil palabras, incluyendo bibliografía.

Los trabajos deberán cumplir, además, con los siguientes lineamientos de formato:

  • Documento Word, espaciado 1.5 líneas, márgenes superior e inferior de 2.5 cm e izquierdo y derecho de 3 centímetros;
  • Fuente Times New Roman de 12 puntos;
  • Título del artículo, en español y en inglés;
  • Un resumen de máximo 120 palabras, en español y en inglés;
  • Un recuento de tres a cinco palabras clave en español y en inglés;
  • Referencias bibliográficas en formato APA (última edición), tanto en el cuerpo del texto como en la recapitulación final;
  • En notas de pie de página solo se aceptan comentarios aclaratorios y sugerencias que amplíen la discusión. No debe incluir referencias;
  • Si el artículo contiene figuras, deben ser inéditas o contar con los permisos de reproducción. Deben ser enviadas, en archivo separado, en formato JPEG o TIFF con una resolución de 360 dpi y en escala de grises. En el cuerpo del texto, se indicará cuál sería la colocación más óptima de la figura, por ejemplo [FIGURA 1 Por aquí]

Las contribuciones deberán enviarse a través del sistema editorial en línea gestionado por el Open System Journal (OJS). De no contar con un usuario, las y los autores deberán registrarse en el sistema.

Los trabajos deberán omitir el o los nombres de las y los autores y cualquier referencia a éstos, ya que el proceso de dictaminación debe garantizar el anonimato. Sin embargo, a través de la plataforma OJS, las y los autores deberán proveer a la revista de la siguiente información:

  • Nombre(s) y apellido(s) tal y como aparecerán en el artículo, en caso de ser publicado
  • Ciudad y país de residencia
  • Institución de adscripción actual
  • Breve currículum (no más de 5 líneas) que incluya máximo grado académico y la institución donde lo obtuvo, principales líneas de investigación y sus más recientes publicaciones (máximo 3).

Una vez aceptados los trabajos para su publicación, los autores deberán enviar una carta de cesión de derechos según el formato que se le remita.

Los manuscritos serán sometidos a un proceso de doble dictaminación por pares y, una vez rechazado, el texto no deberá presentarse nuevamente a la revista.

Permanent Call for Proposals

CONfines de Ciencia Política y Relaciones Internacionales invites the academic community to submit unpublished research articles.

Manuscripts must be unpublished and be related to the disciplinary areas that make up the review, namely, the social sciences in a broad sense: political science, international relations, sociology, economics, anthropology, and history.

Once sent to CONfines, the authors agree not to send the manuscript to other publications until they have a decision from this committee.

We accept works written in Spanish or English, with an extension of no more than 10,000 words, including references.

Manuscripts must comply, also with the following format guidelines:

  • Microsoft Word document, 1,5 lines spacing, 2.5 cm. upper and lower margins, 3.0 cm. left and right margins
  • Times New Roman, 12-point font
  • Title of the article in Spanish and English
  • An abstract of no more than 120 words in Spanish and English
  • Three to five keywords in English and Spanish
  • In-text citations and reference list in APA (latest edition)
  • Footnotes should contain only clarification comments and suggestions for broadening the discussion, not references.
  • If the article contains figures, they must be original or have the authorization to be reproduced; and sent in a separate grayscale JPEG or TIFF file of 360 dpi. Indicate the best place for each figure within the text like this: [Figure 1 here].

Send contributions through the online editorial system administered by the Open System Journal (OSJ). Authors must create a user if they do not have one.

Manuscripts must omit the name(s) of the authors and any reference to them since the proofreading process must guarantee anonymity. However, through the OJS platform, authors must provide the review with the following information:

  • Name(s) and surname(s) as they will appear in the article if it is selected to be published
  • City and country of residence
  • Current affiliation institution
  • Brief resume (no more than five lines) that includes the highest academic degree and the conferring institution, main lines of research, and most recent publications (maximum three).

Once the manuscripts have been accepted for publication, the authors must send a letter of rights transfer in the provided format. Manuscripts will undergo a double peer-review process, and once rejected, the text should not be submitted again.
